What Was Life Before AutoCAD Looks Like?

Life Before AutoCAD AutoCAD came into life in the 1990s for both Mac and Windows devices. Since then the CAD industry has grown rapidly and beyond our imaginations. And is now the most widely used computer-aided design software in the world according to Forbes. Initially, AutoCAD was developed for mechanical engineers, Now the software is used widely in different industries for designing. These decade-old photographs show life before AutoCAD came into life and how our work has changed.

Dassault Systèmes launches Nationwide Product Design Contest - AAKRUTI 2019

AAKRUTI is Dassault Systèmes Nationwide Product Design Contest. AAKRUTI was launched back in 2011 and has received tremendous response from all over India. Each year AAKRUTI brings a different theme with students surpassing the expectations with their innovative designs and ideas. The main objective of AAKRUTI is to reach out to every students and professor across all Indian Colleges and Universities to make them aware of the latest trends and innovations in the Product Design and Manufacturing domain. AAKRUTI encourages students to showcase their design skills, creativity, and innate talent and to use this contest as a platform to design a product that can be commercially manufactured. Dassault Systèmes will offer a limited period license of SOLIDWORKS education edition to all the registered teams to design and simulate their product ideas. This year AAKRUTI comes with four different topics 1. Small is BIG: Research, Refine

MakerBot launches Method X, a 3D printing manufacturing work station

MakerBot , a 3D printer company owned by  Stratasys just rolled out  manufacturing work station  the Method X. The new MakerBot  Method X is designed to produce production-grade parts with ABS  ( Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene )  and a 100-degree celsius heated chamber  Powered by Stratasys® SR-30 soluble support, the new Method X is starting at $4999. The desktop 3D Printers has struggled  to produce smooth, uncrackable and durable parts. To do it, engineers had to develop a workaround to avoid cracking and warping.  Makerbot says the new 100-degree celsius chamber and production-grade ABS will help to  produce parts with no warpings, no cracking and the chamber helps to produce smooth and better-finished parts than the leading desktop printers.  Makerbot says the new Method X is 2X time faster than the leading desktop printers and integrates seamlessly with CAD workflow. Integrate Solidworks , Autodesk Fusion 360 , AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor seamlessly
