MakerBot launches Method X, a 3D printing manufacturing work station

MakerBot, a 3D printer company owned by Stratasys just rolled out manufacturing work station the Method X.

3D Printer

The new MakerBot Method X is designed to produce production-grade parts with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and a 100-degree celsius heated chamber Powered by Stratasys® SR-30 soluble support, the new Method X is starting at $4999.

The desktop 3D Printers has struggled to produce smooth, uncrackable and durable parts. To do it, engineers had to develop a workaround to avoid cracking and warping.  Makerbot says the new 100-degree celsius chamber and production-grade ABS will help to produce parts with no warpings, no cracking and the chamber helps to produce smooth and better-finished parts than the leading desktop printers.

ABS Precision Model Material

Makerbot says the new Method X is 2X time faster than the leading desktop printers and integrates seamlessly with CAD workflow. Integrate Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion 360, AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor seamlessly.

As MakerBot is focusing on the manufacturing sector with the brand new Method X it still managed to pack all the features like

    Method X - inside out
  • 21 onboard sensors
  • wifi connectivity
  • remote monitoring
  • 25 compatible CAD file type
  • 5 inch full - color touch display

MakerBot Method X for Business is designed for the most demanding business users. Reduce downtime, while scaling your team’s productivity with the most complete, end-to-end, business offering. Let this 3D printing expert help you build a 100% risk-free 3D printing solution.

3D Generative Innovator: A browser-based on-the-cloud generative modeling environment

3D Generative Innovator The 3D Generative Innovator role delivers a browser-based on-the-cloud generative modeling environment that uniquely combines graphical visual scripting and interactive 3D-modeling, with the ability to use one or the other interchangeably at any time. This role extension allows you to design any shapes and patterns using CATIA parametric modeling technology with high automation. This new, intuitive and smart approach allows creative people in Architecture, Design/Styling and Engineering to quickly design, explore and validate variations of complex, repetitive and non-regular shapes and patterns. All created geometry is available to be used in the world of detailed design and manufacture through the rich portfolio of roles on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. Uniquely, at any stage of the design, the user can swap freely between the graph and the interactive 3D, as these are bi-directionally dynamically sync’ed. For instance, the user can start a command ...
